Born Sinner (Se7en Sinners #1) by S.L. Jennings

Born Sinner (Se7en Sinner, #1)
by S.L. Jennings
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Twenty-two years ago, I was cut from a cold, sodden womb, and cradled in the filth and poverty of Chicago’s concrete arms. Statistically, I wasn’t supposed to survive these streets past the age of eighteen.

Fate had a different plan.
I was bred for one purpose and one purpose only: to unleash death and destruction on my world.
My thoughts are power.
My words are weapons.

Evil created me then grace tried to save me. But first… they tried to kill me.
They call themselves the Se7en. They are sin and salvation, and everything we’ve feared from the beginning of time. And their leader is the deadliest of them all.

He doesn’t lose.
He doesn’t compromise.
And most importantly, he doesn’t distract himself with mortal weakness.
Not until me.

Kill one to save a million.
That’s what he told me when he took me as his prisoner.
Kill one to save a million.

That’s what he’s been trying to tell himself ever since he took me into his arms.

"Please. If  you won't let me taste any part of you, at least let me taste your lips.
He closes his eyes, letting his chin touch his chest. "You'll forget this. You'll forget wanting me as badly as I want you - shit, as badly as I've wanted you for longer than you;ve ben alive."

Otherworldy. Tempting. Sinful. Powerful.
Meet the Se7en, Born Sinners, who really want to make you sin SO BAD!

S.L. Jennings delivered again an intriguing, sucks-you-right-in paranormal romance that  ended with a cliffhanger (duh, it says it, book one in the series), which made me crave more. I adore her paranormal books; they're refreshing, alluring, and packed with a plot that doesn't allow you to stop reading.

I've to admit it isn't an easy read, you don't figure things out right away. I felt confused, curious, relieved and again confused. Then at the end I felt a whole lot surprised - I love this!! You feel a bit confused on the why, how, and again, on why but hang in there, it's def worth it.
I loved the whole concept of this book. Give me fallen (hot) Angels, Warlocks etc. any time and I'm one happy reader.

About the characters. The main character, Eden, is doomed from the beginning. Seriously, since she was little her life literally sucked. Her father left because he thought her mom is nuts (which is true), her mom also tried to kill her several times, she's no friends, is a loner and has a pretty fancy gift. A gift that is more a curse, she hates it and the baggage that comes with it. Not to mention her nightmares, a special gift from a mysterious someone *shudders*.

Add L and the Se7en into it and you've a bunch of interesting characters. It's unclear if they want her dead or alive - it's all very complicated but OH SO GOOD! Especially L and Eden's 'relationship' is somewhat hard to figure out. Calling it complicated would be an understatement but both can't deny the pull they feel to another and the truth about each other.

"I was born to be a weapon. A murderer."

Prepare yourself to get sucked into an unseen world! If you enjoy paranormal books then this is my current TOP RECOMMENDATION for you!
