West is back!!!

Robin York's sequel for her
bestselling book, Deeper: Harder (Caroline & West, #2)
Caroline still dreams about West. His warm skin, his taut muscles, his hand sliding down her stomach. Then she wakes up and she’s back to reality: West is gone. And before he left, he broke her heart.
Then, out of the blue, West calls in crisis. A tragedy has hit his family—a family that’s already a fractured mess. Caroline knows what she has to do. Without discussion, without stopping to think, she’s on a plane, flying to his side to support him in any way he needs.
They’re together again, but things are totally different. West looks edgy, angry at the world. Caroline doesn’t fit in. She should be back in Iowa, finalizing her civil suit against the ex-boyfriend who posted their explicit pictures on a revenge porn website. But here she is. Deeply into West, wrapped up in him, in love with him. Still
They fought the odds once. Losing each other was hard. But finding their way back to each other couldn’t be harder

4 - Angsty -Stars
--- Before you read this review, read my review for book one, DEEPER, first here. ---

"There was my truth, broken into pieces small enough to read: He'd hurt me. I hurt. He'd made me angry. I was angry.
He'd driven me away, and I still felt the distance, even with his c@ck pushing hard inside me, his face in my neck, his tongue in my mouth.
It wasn't the same. We weren't. Maybe we could never be the same."
So now let's begin. OMG what a angsty and nerve-wrecking read. I'm not gonna lie, the first 40% of the book made me want to choke West because he was the total douche - he made a 180 from who he was in Deeper. When you've read book 1, and sobbed like me at the end, you're aware that dear West isn't with Caroline anymore, thanks to his family circumstances.

When Caroline gets in the middle of the night a call she packs up her stuff and flies to him- despite all the stuff that went down between them. Oh prepare yourself, you will be mad, too.

Lets just say West did a great job hurting and pushing Caroline away because she doesn't fit into his life; doesn't want her in this life; wants so much more for her than he can give her in Silt. So yeah, he drove me nuts!

Because all he sees is that "she hold herself like she matters, laughs like she cares, smiles like she's somebody." He doesn't want to ruin her even more.

Robin York really pushed all my buttons with this sequel. She (or West) stretched my tolerance so far I thought I'd snap any minute. I got him, I got why he was the way he was but it still hurt. I sympathized with him, felt for him, and wished to the same time soo much for him.

Overall it was a great read. It had some dark moments, moments that made my heart bleed, but Robin York told with HARDER not just West's story - Caroline was still present part and her story. The ending was sweet but it could have been a bit tighter - nevertheless, I was thrilled how life turned to the positive for West. He deserved it so much!!

York's writing was as in book 1, captivating and made it more than just a page turner for me. Her words touched my heart and spoke volumes. With these two books she wrote more than your overage NA coming of age romance; it touches you in all the right spots with characters to fall in love with.

Caroline & West's story is definitely worth reading and I highly recommend this series -it made me think, feel, and reflect on life!
