One of the best assassin books I've read

This book starts with a prologue that made me gasp, sad, and sick to the stomach. But the author had me right there and I knew this book is definitely my taste.

“Bullet was five years old… Staked to the ground, naked, through the night, and forced to maintain silence for fear of punishment.”

•She was taught to kill
•She was taught be emotionless
•She was taught not to break
•She was reborn to be a killer

One day, a little girl lost everything and everyone she loved. Parents and sibling got killed, she and five other girls got kidnapped. But only five made it out alive and become the elite team of The Collectives. She and her ‘sisters’ are killers; each trained in a different weapon, mastering it. She was the best sniper.

She was Bullet…fast as one, and deadly as one.

“She was born to love then taught to kill. She has become everything but is no one.

-Known only as Bullet she was long ago forced to shed the name her parents gave her. Changed, molded and trained to kill with sharp-shooting efficiency she is one of The Collective’s most valuable assets. In a cadre of killers, Bullet is death waiting but her time for vengeance has come.-

The man to blame behind all this is Joseph, and Joseph’s time has come to die. “…he created the time-bomb she was.”
Her way of seeking revenge is through Rand Beckett, founder of Trident Corporation. He used to be her ‘mark’ but refused; now he needs to help Bullet to bring down Joseph’s empire of hell. But Rand has other plans…

-He was loved and then he lost. He has become a hunter in search of revenge.

He thought he’s dreaming when Bullet warned him and took out one of his guards. He could have never imagined that one of The Collectives was so close, so reachable to fulfill his revenge and then fail to do so…

“You may think that what you’re doing is what it will take to break me. But know this: I survived Joseph Bombardier, and so too will I survive you, Rand Beckett. I was formed long ago out of bone, blood, death, and the tears of a small child.”

This book was pure joy to read –it was thrilling, action packed and I read it in one night. Bullet was one strong female; so unpredictable, deathly and to the same time breakable. Certain scenes made me shudder because I could imagine all too well  the brutality of this man, Joseph, and what he has done and does to the women, in particular Bullet. But the author kept me captivated throughout the book and I will definitely read book two soon, because the story isn’t over yet!

Joseph has not fallen yet… but he will!
