Review: Where Their Hearts Collide by Zoe York

Where Their Hearts Collide (Wardham,#2)
by Zoe York

When the girl next door...
Karen's finally decided what she wants to do when she grows up. Too bad it'll mean leaving behind her new neighbour, who's stirred up a different kind of grown up feelings. But when he rebuffs her attempt to have a fling before she leaves Wardham, Karen knows it's for the best. A clean break, no messy emotional entanglements.

Meets the cop of her dreams...
Intense and private, Paul has recently moved to Wardham for a more family friendly job, leaving behind a career as a homicide detective in the city. He only has his ten year old daughter a few nights a week, and he doesn't want any distractions or drama while he tries to repair their relationship.

At exactly the wrong time.
But Karen is right next door, and everywhere he goes. His resolve to keep his distance only lasts until she needs a true friend in her corner, and he realizes he can't imagine life without her.

5 This is My Favorite Book in the Series – Stars

Oooh Zoe, this book was most definitely my favorite of your small town romance series. Paul represents, in my eyes, everything a woman needs and wants ;)

Ok, I might sound now like a broken record, especially if you’ve read my previous book reviews for Zoe’s series but I just have to say it again: Zoe’s Wardham books are my favorite romance books EVER!! I’m not going to lie and say I’m a big romance fan –I’m not. Especially if they’re not combined with my favorite genre PRN/UF, or Mystery/Dark it’s hard to get a high rating out of me; that being said, it’s quite obvious that I don’t give 5 stars easily and a prove how much I loved this/her book.

Let me start with Paul.
He’s a cop, a yummy cop to be clear. He’s 37yrs old (perfect age!!), divorced and just moved to Wardham. Every other weekend his daughter comes to visit, who’s also the reason why Paul changed his previous lifestyle.
Ladies, he’s AMAZING. I mean he really made my heart race and I envied Karen.

Karen is his neighbor and one quirky woman, bookworm and single. She runs her parents grocery store and if she’s not busy doing that, her nose is stuck in a book or she’s drooling over her hot neighbor Paul. Unfortunately, Karen never lived and was ever since finishing high school stuck in Wardham –which is the reason for some of her decisions.

Fortunately, karma is on their side, and after a bumpy start they somehow managed at least to get naked. Both feel the pull towards each other but certain obstacles make it hard for them to start a relationship with each other right away.
And damn, this book had some steamy scenes in it, especially the telephone sex scene *fans. It was the most realistic, erotic conversation ever…I think I even reread it 2x lol. Zoe is soooo good in keeping it realistic and her man are just panties*melting awesome!

…but the reason why they didn’t hit if off right away, when having the hots for each other, that, you’ve to find out for yourself.

Zoe has a way with words, keeping her reading glued to the pages like no other. She keeps things simple but to the same time so real that it’s joy to dive into her new books. She’s one of few authors who I auto-click her books - I just now she doesn’t disappoint.

Another plus about her series is that ALL HER BOOKS CAN BE READ AS STAND ALONES. Yes, I encourage you to read her books in order to have a sense who is who, but it’s no must! But throughout the books, she always mentions the characters from her previous books, even if it’s just during a girls-night out.

Side note: I wanted to add quotes, but my kindle messed up and all of them ended up gone :( I had sooo many hot Paul quotes that I’m really bummed out right now –therefore, I’m very sorry this review doesn’t contain any quotes !
